Plum Cake Mixing Ceremony at MAYFAIR Lagoon Bhubaneswar

The Plum cake will finally be baked on Christmas Eve to make an extravagant cake.

The traditional plum pudding and plum cake are the main parts of festivity in which chef and senior management along with guests take part by donning the chef’s cap and wearing gloves. The participants indulged in mixing liberal measures of dry fruits, spices, fruits, dates, plums, sweet ginger, with liquors to give different varieties of cakes their unique aroma and taste. The mixture would be kept for a month for fermentation and then blended with the cake batter to make Christmas cakes.

The ceremony started at 4.30 pm and continued till 6.30 pm. The chefs, senior management and the guests of Mayfair Lagoon participated in this event.”

This mixing is done at least a month before the XMas. Various dry fruits, liquors and imported wines were mixed to make it more delicious when the final product comes out.
