By 2014, mobile internet usage is set to surpass desktop usage, but data collection on touchscreens is still a wholly frustrating experience. Typeform is the first device-agnostic solution that provides creators with peace of mind that their forms will have the same great look and feel on any smartphone, tablet or web browser.
“Typeform is trying to reinvent a large software category which hasn’t seen much innovation in a long time,” Christoph Janz, partner at Point Nine Capital, said. “We’re extremely excited about the opportunity to back Typeform’s talented team on that mission!”
Piotr Kulesza, partner at RTAventures added: “We believe that any brand, any web and any mobile app developer who cares about user experience can immediately benefit from the top notch quality forms and surveys that can be easily created with Typeform.”
David Okuniev, co-founder of Typeform, comments: “The funding has not only come at a perfect time when we’re ready to start scaling the team, infrastructure and user base, but also from a team of investors who we truly believe make a great fit with our company.”
It’s no surprise that typeforms are shown to increase user engagement and encourage higher completion rates. Of the over 700,000 unique visitors that the service has attracted so far to its typeforms, the overall completion rate is currently at 61%, exceeding industry averages by at least three times*.
Furthermore, Typeform has recently made their ‘Data API’ available, granting developers dynamic access to the data they've collected on the platform. The company is also putting significant resources into opening the platform up further to developers, with plans to introduce their ‘Build API’ in the near future, allowing developers to generate typeforms via code without the need to go through their authoring tool.
“Handing developers the tools to build typeforms dynamically is key to establishing our product as a new standard in form UI/UX. We’re very excited about the far-reaching possibilities that the ‘Build API’ can provide”, explained Robert Muñoz, co-founder of Typeform.
Typeform is a Barcelona-based SaaS startup founded by Spanish entrepreneur Robert Munoz and British/Belgian UI/UX designer David Okuniev. The service helps thousands of companies and individuals easily create next generation surveys and forms which render beautifully across all platforms and devices.
