Through Day 1-3, you will strengthen your strategy in designing, operating and maintaining Centrifugal Compressor and from Day 4&5, you will explore the strategic techniques to improve your design, operation and maintenance of Gas Turbine.

An emphasis is placed on providing practical information with minimal theory.  This course is aimed at engineers and operational personnel who need a broad-based introduction to practical turbo-machinery engineering.  Discussion of problems experienced is encouraged.

Key Highlights of the course are: Understanding mechanical aspects of centrifugal compressor, Efficient compressor design technique to prevent operation failure, Understanding centrifugal compressor performance by determining the performance curve, surge line and operating point, Optimum compressor maintenance techniques including condition monitoring, Understanding the design parameters that affect the performance of a gas turbine, Strengthening the analysis of gas turbine failure to improve your design methods and Utilizing gas turbine instrumentation and control to ensure high efficiency of machine.

The seminar will be conducted along workshop principles with formal lectures, case studies and interactive worked examples. Relevant case studies will be provided to illustrate the application of each tool in an operations environment. Each learning point will be re-enforced with practical exercises. There will be ample opportunities for discussion and sharing experiences
