TFC’s BRO channel takes OFs to the “ringside” of the most intense sporting events

BRO delivers international championship boxing bouts via Pinoy Pride XX live to viewers worldwide on May 25

QUEZON CITY, Philippines - May 24, 2013 - PRLog -- The Filipino Channel (TFC) through BRO – a channel dedicated to the male audience - continues to bring Filipinos worldwide close to the most exciting sporting events.  True to its claim, Ang Lakas ng Dating Mo, BRO sets the stage for the intense matches of some of the world’s best in boxing via its continuing live broadcast of Pinoy Pride and the series’ 20th installment on May 25.

Launched in 2011, BRO has been delivering coverage of thrilling sporting events via its program block Game Na!  These games include the widely followed basketball matches of the Universities’ Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP); gripping mixed martial arts matches via Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC); and including the fierce boxing matches of the world’s best via the Pinoy Pride series.

Since 2010, Pinoy Pride has been setting the stage for world-class Filipino fighters to shine and follow the footsteps of boxing legends Manny Pacquiao, Nonito Donaire and Brian Viloria.  ABS-CBN Sports and ALA Boxing Promotions teamed up in organizing Pinoy Pride which has produced the likes of international champions Donnie “Ahas” Nietes, Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista, AJ “Bazooka” Banal, and Milan “El Metodico” Melindo.

On May 25, Pinoy Pride XX, to be seen live worldwide on BRO, will pit the best of the Philippines against Mexico and Indonesia’s bets.  For the main bout, Jason “El Nino” Pagara will defend his WBO International Light Welterweight Championship crown against Aaron “La Joya” Herrera.  For the undercards, Jimrex “Executioner” Jaca will be pitted against Jose Emilio Perea of Mexico for the Oriental Light Welterweight Championship while Genesis “Azukal” Servania will battle it out with Isaac Junior of Indonesia for the non-title fight.

Pagara and Herrera who both register at 140 lbs. will exchange punches in a 12-round match.  For the now vacant Oriental Light Welterweight Championship crown, Jaca will try to get his 10th consecutive win when he takes on Perea who has so far scored 22 wins.  Servania, the reigning WBO Asia Pacific Super Bantamweight Champion is gearing up to win the 12-round match against Junior who moved up two weight classes for their non-title fight.

Who will reign supreme?
