Hindustan Group of Institutions signs MoU with CADD Centre Chennai, April, 2013

CHENNAI, India - May 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Hindustan University, one of the leading institutions in Tamil Nadu has signed a MoU with CADD Centre, Asia’s largest CAD training institution, to provide customized, and value-added CAD training programmes optionally for engineering students to improve their selection in campus interviews. The training will be provided to students at their own campuses, during college hours or beyond.

CADD Centre’s courses will be available for the students of four engineering colleges (institutions) of Hindustan University located at Padur, Karapakkam, Guindy and Padappai in Chennai. The four colleges cater to 10,000 plus engineering students. Every year about 1,500 to 2,000 students are expected to opt-in for CADD Centre’s customized CAD courses, to be offered to them at highly affordable cost.

Commenting about the MoU, Mr S Karaiadiselvan, Managing Director, CADD Centre, said “Our vision is to bring affordable, customized CAD education for engineering and polytechnic students to their own classrooms, leveraging our 350-strong pan India network of training centres.

Mr.Anand Jacob Verghese, the Pro Chancellor of Hindustan University said “The industry expects candidates to be CAD-ready, since product designs across all industries are done using CAD. By undergoing a CAD course, our students can cross the first level of selection instantly. When we have CAD-ready students, we have a better chance to attract many companies for campus recruitments”.

The Director of Hindustan University Mr.Ashok Verghese said “though students realize and understand the need to learn CAD, many of them are unable to learn CAD due to lack of time. So, when we offer the courses at the college premises itself, our students will be able to learn CAD without having to travel to outside our campuses. This CAD training within campus will enable the entire class to acquire CAD skills and be job ready,” he further added that the colleges propose to allocate specific timing for the CAD training.

CADD Centre has sixty similar college partnerships across India. While colleges teach engineering concepts very well, they may not have resources and time to impart practical CAD training on specific CAD products. Thus, with CADD Centre’s partnership, they can fill the training gap and help students get jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities.
