Rosti is FDA approved for Suzhou, China

MALMÖ, Sweden - March 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Rosti announced today the successful accreditation of its Suzhou, China facility to the FDA standards; a mandatory requirement following the introduction of caps & closures business to this facility in 2013.  

The facility is now accredited and so comply to the FDA standards for a single service containers and closures for milk and milk products. Mr Pat Williams, The facility’s Managing Director commented: “This is in addition to the ISO13485 accreditation required for clean room moulding and assembly of medical components which already produced on site, and so extending the facility’s clean areas and enlarging the plant’s precision moulding capabilities”.

The site set up its “ FDA Accreditation execution team” back in June 2012, and although the site already has the basic disciplines for food standard production, nevertheless the team created and implemented well over 100 new procedures and carried numerous self-audit inspections. Ke Rong, Rosti’s Operation Director of the Suzhou facility added: “Although many of our staff took place and led the programme, this accreditation would not have been possible without the guidance and experience of Rosti’s staff in Sweden & Germany”. Rosti now boasts FDA and/or BRC accreditation of three of its 10 facilities being Sweden, Germany and now China.

Production of caps & closures have already started in December of 2012, increasing Rosti’s global caps production to billions of pieces a year.
