As an option, the Combined Charging System (CCS) is used, which has been standardised by Volkswagen and other carmakers. The e-up! carries is own styling cues, the LED daytime running lights curved layout particularly distinctive. It sits on polished 15” alloys, wears the VW emblems in blue background, and the front end, sills and underbody have all been aerodynamically optimised. On the inside, it features e-up! light-grey seat covers with blue top-stitched seams. There is also special leather and chrome accents used to emphasie that this is a dedicated urban electric car. The e-up! will celebrate its fair premiere at the International Autoshow in Frankfurt and is expected to go on sale in Ireland in early 2014.
