Kamigata Wins Welsh Women Mean Business Fashion and Beauty Awards

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 9, 2013 - At a glittering event on International Women’s Day, 8th March 2013, in the Vale Hotel near Cardiff, the Welsh Women mean Business organisation held the Welsh regional Fashion and Beauty Awards. There were a number of awards but Kamigata, http://www.kamigata.co.uk, was nominated (anonymously!) in the Best Beauty Business category along with four other shortlisted beauty companies. Kamigata won the Best Beauty Business award in Wales for 2013. This award comes soon after Kamigata was the only salon in Wales to be chosen by Reiss to be included in the Reiss World Guide 2013.

The judges of the awards state that “The Fashion and Beauty Awards recognise and celebrate fashion and beauty companies and individuals who have shown extraordinary creativity, dedication, courage and entrepreneurial skills. The awards seek to reward and raise the profile of highly successful businesses that have made a real difference to their regional economy, whether by turning a great business idea into reality, or developing an existing business into a thriving enterprise. Ultimately the awards aim to create role models to inspire budding entrepreneurs.”

Kamigata was founded in 2005 in Llandaff and is now an Aveda Lifestyle Salon and Spa, located in the St David’s Dewi Sant centre in Cardiff and is the only Aveda Lifestyle Salon and Spa in Wales. Since moving to St David’s Dewi Sant in late 2010, Kamigata has tripled the number of its employees and substantially expanded its range of hair and spa services.
