By: Sahara India Under the Scholarship Scheme for the Meritorious Students of Low Income Group for the academic year 2012-2013, Sahara India Pariwar had invited applications from the Students. From the total of 1300 application received, 191 students at graduation level and 200 students at post-graduate level have been selected whose monthly income is below Rs.3 lac. The scholarship scheme for meritorious students is a part of one of the 4 welfare schemes that were announced by ‘Saharasri’ Individual accident cover to the 17.07 lakh voters of Pune Lok Sabha constituency wherein Rupees One lakh will be provided as financial assistance to the nominee from the family of the deceased whose death has been occurred in a road accident. Similarly Scholarship is also awarded to the promising sportspersons of Pune District who have performed at State, National and International level. Sahara India Pariwar is also providing Scholarship to the sportsperson of Pune district who are playing at the state, national and International level on monthly basis Besides, Sahara is also running 9 Mobile Healthcare Unit Vans and providing public health services to 134 villages of 6 Blocks in the rural area and 2 urban slums of Pune District.
