Don’t believe there is such a thing as decision fatigue, or an app that helps you make decisions? They both truly exist. According to Wikipedia, decision fatigue “refers to the deteriorating quality of decisions made by an individual, after a long session of decision making.” The new app called the Unsure Decision Maker can actually assist the user in avoiding decision fatigue by helping them make the so called “minor” decisions in life and therefore, allowing the “major” decisions be made by an un-fatigued mind.
The Unsure Decision Maker app was created to answer questions for the user when they find themselves at an indecisive moment, such as what movie should we watch, or should I really buy that purse that’s on sale? Available for iOS users, the makers of the iOS app say that you can get your decision in seconds with just a quick “tap”. Available responses to your questions are: Buy, Sell, Wait, Do it, Forget it, and Go.
Created by Felix Grimberg, maker of the popular text scheduling app TXTOT, the decision making app is already being enjoyed by iPhone, iPod and iPad users and has received many positive comments; including one by an apparent student that thinks it will help him with tests, as he says, “Very fun idea. You should add another one that says like, Choice A B or C. Those are the ones I need most help with!”
The Unsure Decision Maker app appears to be a new, fun and whimsical way to try to lighten your spirit when having to make decisions regarding shopping, social situations or even something spur of the moment like, which dessert to choose. This app may remind some of the popular Magic 8-Ball, which was used for similar decisions, however, with its new counterpart now being in the form of an app, the user no longer has to carry around some separate object for those times when a question pops in mind and an answer must soon follow.
