Follow on Google News | Irish Digital Software Company Launches Innovative Cloud-based Video Creation and Editing ToolVideoCrisp Ltd an Irish cloud-based (SaaS) digital software company today announced the launch of its innovative online video creation and editing tool.
By: NovaUCD The VideoCrisp application requires no software installation and is aimed primarily at resellers such as web, design and marketing agencies. VideoCrisp allows resellers to quickly and cost effectively create high-quality professional and customised videos for their clients. VideoCrisp can also be used by businesses themselves to create their own videos as part of their sales, marketing and online activities. Until now video creation and editing required expensive software, technical knowledge and creative skills. The VideoCrisp application solves this problem by allowing users to create new videos or edit existing videos, and to embed templates, music, bullet points, photographs and additional video clips, with just a few clicks and without the need of complex and expensive video editing software. VideoCrisp is based at NovaUCD, the Centre for New Ventures and Entrepreneurs at University College Dublin. The company was founded in 2012 by serial entrepreneur Abhinav Chugh, an MBA graduate from UCD’s Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. VideoCrisp, an Enterprise Ireland client, also announced today that it plans to hire 10 additional digital media staff by the end of 2013. Speaking at the launch, Abhinav Chugh, founder and CEO, VideoCrisp said, “Videos are becoming a mandatory tool for businesses and usually their web or marketing agencies are the first doors that they knock to meet their video needs. Until now these agencies did not have the expertise to offer video services and had to refer clients to expensive video production companies.” He added, “VideoCrisp is world’s first video creation tool designed keeping in mind the needs of resellers who can now create professional and customised videos for their clients using our self-service tool which offers the same quality as video production companies. This will enable resellers to enjoy a bigger share of their clients’ marketing budgets.” He concluded, “VideoCrisp, which is looking to hire 10 new staff members by the end of the year, is also developing the world’s first cloud-based video editing software that will allow users to edit and change the background of videos with just one click without using a Chroma screen or any video studio set-up.” Video has become a key element of a company’s marketing mix. According to a Cisco 2012 report video will be approximately 86% of global consumer traffic by 2016. In addition, a 2012 eMarketer’s report highlighted that video continues to be the fastest-growing online advertising format. Spending on this form of advertising (in the USA) was expected to have increased by nearly 55% in 2012, following growth of 42% in 2011 and with strong double-digit growth continuing for the eMarketer’s forecast period up until 2016.
