Let's start taking about it taking example of today's biggest social network (guess I need not to mention its name since it's pretty obvious what i'm referring to).
These networks emphasis on connecting online with people you already know in your 'offline' life. Right? So do the thousands of other so called social networking websites. Everybody seems to be following the leader. The same thing is presented everywhere with only minor differences in the way of presentation(
This was the starting point behind the foundation of Frendsdom. Since the beginning I was very focused on doing things differently from rest, nothing but innovative and different.
I would like to add here that I stared the whole thing as an amateur during the last year of my collage. So there could still be some flaws you may witness. Ok, lets not divert from the real point of article any further and talk about points.
Of course, it's not a new term in online world. A lot of websites offer their users points usually after they make useful comments etc.
On Frendsdom points are indicator of your power to expand your existing friend circle.
By default you get 10 points. You get the sum of your points incremented every time someone likes or make comment on content belonging to you or if someone becomes part of your relation list and in lot of other ways.
Ok, you've got the points then what? Real fun begins now. After you've earned pocketful of points you go out hunting for people of your interest. You can look for people by age,sex and location criteria. After you seem to have found someone you might be interested in, you offer them some of your points as a motivation for them to accept your invitation.
This way both sides get benefited and you get to connect with not only the people you know but with the people you wanted to know.
How do you know how many points you should offer to someone? While sending invitation to a person, you will be able to see the recommended points for that person based on which you can decide how many points you are going to offer.
Recommended points(RP)are calculated by dividing the total number of your relations by 10. So if you have 50 Frendsdom relations, RP for you will be 5.
This is just one of many other interesting and unique features of Frendsdom. Like I said above, Frendsdom is all about expanding your world in an innovative fun way.
It would be a little uneasy in the beginning getting used to something as new as this but when you do you would be having lot of fun.
