The peasant and landowner system is India is the main focus of the chapter. The landowners of India in past were known as Zamindars. This system was identical to the European peasant and landowner system up to some extent. The chapter also covers various facetsof the Mughal Empire. The last chapter with named Kings and Chronicles: The Mughal Courts, explores the workings of Mughal courts and the lifestyles of Mughal emperors in detail.
