Grammy Award-Winning Producer Javier Limón Collaborates with Canadian Singer Amanda Martinez

Canadian Latin singer songwriter Amanda Martinez is thrilled to announce her collaboration with multiple Grammy Award-winning Spanish producer Javier Limón.
 
Sept. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Toronto, ON (September 25, 2012)—Canadian Latin singer songwriter Amanda Martinez is thrilled to announce her collaboration with multiple Grammy Award-winning Spanish producer Javier Limón. The two will be working together on Martinez’s next album, scheduled for release in spring 2013. Limón will also be making his Canadian debut as Martinez’ special guest at her Koerner Hall concert on December 1, 2012.

Limón, renowned for his exceptional work as a producer, musician and songwriter, is currently serving as Artistic Director of Berklee College of Music’s Mediterranean Music Institute in Valencia, as well as 2012 artist-in-resident in Berklee Boston. The seven-time Latin Grammy Award winner will be in Toronto this fall to partner with Martinez and produce her third album.

“It is a dream come true to be working with Javier. I have a lot of admiration for his work,” says Martinez.  Limón’s composition and production credits include major albums by renowned artists such as: Paco de Lucia, Concha Buika, Mariza, El Cigala, Yasmin Levy, Anoushka Shankar and Estrella Morente.

Following performances at the 2011 PanAmerican Festivities in Mexico, the 2010 FIFA World Cup Festivities in her mother’s homeland of South Africa, the Montreal Jazz Festival and New York’s iconic Blue Note club, Martinez is steadily garnering international acclaim. Her new album will be recorded this fall and Limón will be joining Martinez as her special guest for a one-night only performance at Toronto’s Koerner Hall on December 1, 2012. Canadian-Mexican singer Amanda Martinez’s music converges at the intersection of vibrant-Afro-Cuban beats, sensual flamenco rhythms and colorful Mexican folk music.
