ShopBot to demo DeskProto at World Maker Faire in New York.

Sept. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Most Makers are now using digital fabrication technologies to create hot new products: manufacturing based on 3D computer data. Using a CNC milling machine this can be done in any material, making such machine a perfect tool for Makers. This will be shown at this year’s World Maker Faire, where machine builder ShopBot Tools (USA) and software builder Delft Spline Systems (NL) will demonstrate the ShopBot Desktop machine combined with the DeskProto 3D CAM software.

The DeskProto CAM software combines well with this machine to be used by Makers, as DeskProto is very easy to use (it is aimed at “3D CNC machining for non-machinists”). DeskProto offers various options for rotation axis machining: both continuous rotation and ‘indexed machining’, meaning automatically machining from several sides, are possible.
