TNT Express in Lebanon launches waste management programme

TNT Express in Lebanon has recently launched the TNT Express waste management programme. The programme aims to create awareness amongst TNT Express employees in Lebanon and actively involve them in the recycling activities.
 
Sept. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Beirut, Lebanon – September 5, 2012 – TNT Express in Lebanon has recently launched the TNT Express waste management programme. The programme aims to create awareness amongst TNT Express employees in Lebanon and actively involve them in the recycling activities.

Employees are invited to drop off waste papers and cartons in special containers spread in various locations inside the TNT offices and operations hubs and wastes will be sent out to specialized centers on weekly basis.  The used papers and cartons will be then recycled in an environmentally friendly method.

Roger Haddad, Country General Manager for TNT Express in Lebanon, said: “We are very pleased to encourage and implement an environmentally friendly programme within our company which will help preserving the environment. This is the first phase of our waste management programme; however, the second phase will include aluminum and plastic waste.”

Tim Frank, General Manager for TNT Associates in the Middle East and Indian sub-continent, commented: “We are adopting the 3Rs concept: “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, respecting our environment is the key to a sustainable growth.”
