AIEEE - CCB 2012 Spot round for admission started with 21 Self Financed Institutions & Universities.

Aug. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- The process of admission in engineering degree courses through the AIEEE Central Counselling Board 2012 has entered the spot round with the closure of admissions in the fifth round.

The spot round of admissions is likely to be more interesting as candidates who have so far not been allotted an institute or have remained unsatisfied with the allotment of institute or the discipline in all these rounds will get new opportunity to fulfill their dreams. In total 21 Self Financed Institutions from the country are participating in SPOT round of CCB-AIEEE 2012.

According to CCB admission process schedule Spot round registrations has started on August 10, where all eligible candidates, other than those granted admission in earlier rounds, shall get an opportunity to register and take admission in the institute and discipline of their choice. Even candidates who had failed to register in the registration period may get freshly registered for this round. This process shall be conducted at the Reporting Centres where the candidates will have to reach alongwith the documents for verification and required Demand Draft. Sources said this round of admissions may witness better turn-out as a number of self-financed institutions that had not been included in the admission process so far shall be present now. This will enhance the possibility of a candidate getting a discipline of his/her choice. Also some of these institutions have put on offer very exciting courses.

Shobhit University, Meerut (www.shobhituniversity.ac.in) shall also figure in this round of admissions. This university offers innovative courses in Mechatronics and Avionics as also highly demanded courses like Electrical & Electronics Engineering , and Bio Medical Engineering besides all-time favourite Computer Science & Engineering and Information & Communication Technology etc. From Uttar Pradesh 4 Universities (Amity, Invertis, Sharda & Shobhit University) are participating, however only Shobhit University, Meerut has declared a 50% seat quota for students with Uttar Pradesh State domicile to facilitate the local students.

According to the CCB schedule the registration and choice filling for this round shall start on August 10 and close on August 14. The CCB shall do seat allotment on August 16. Successful candidates shall have to reach the allotted institute during August 16-20 for admissions and beginning of classes.

It may be recalled that the Central Counselling Board (CCB) is constituted by the Government of India coordinates admissions to UG degree programmes for eligible AIEEE candidates in respect of select institutions. This year's CCB has been constituted with Director, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha as its Chairman.
