Classical Music by Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Satvik Bhatt

Classical music maestro Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt performed in Jaipur with his grandson Satvik Bhatt. It was a historical day in the history of classical music.

There was a rare event in the world of music when music lovers witnessed performing 3 generations of an artist family on single stage. The same had happened at Rangayan theatre of Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur on Thursday, July 26, 2012. Grammy award winner Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt performed on Mohan Veena in company of his grandson Sattvik Bhatt (on keyboard). They played both western and Indian music. Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt played Raga Vishwakauns and Raga Miya Malhar. It is noticable that on the completion of 50 successful years of his musical journey, the Raga Vishkaunsa played by pandit ji, from an album "Strings of Freedom", released by Mysitca Music Company is becoming most popular among music lovers. The Raga Vishwakaunsa is created by mixing Hindustani and Karnatak Music. A research on music therapy proved that emotions of happiness and aspiration are induced in the mind of listeners. It removes pessimistic emotions entirely. Pandit Ramkumar Mishra, the famous tabla player of Banaras Gharana, made the musical evening more charming by showing rhythmic patterns on tabla. Famous Rajasthani folk singer Saakar Khan had also cast a magical spell of his singing. At the end of the program the famous Manganiyar artists Ghazi Khan and Anwar Khan performed "Desert Slide" with Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt and won the heart of audience.

Honour of Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt :
On this occasion some main institutions of Jaipur honoured Rajasthan Ratna Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, a classical music maestro with many different honours. Bal Gandharva Lifetime Achievement Award was given to him by Bal Gandharva Sangeet Shodh Sansthan on this day. Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt is already honoured as Padmashree by Indian Government, Bharat Jyoti, Sangeet Kala Ratna, Vaady Ratnakaar, Maharana Mewad Sangeet Samman, Marwar Sangeet Ratna and Star of India etc. by many Indian instutions.

Release of album "Strings of Freedom" :
During the classical music program the album "Strings of Freedom" was also released to the public. In this album 2 Ragas are in focus. Raga Ahir Bhairav and Raga Vishwakaunsa are the content of the album. Strings of Freedom is prepared by Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt and his son Salil Bhatt. Program was conducted by Pandit Salil Bhatt. At the end of the program secretary of Bal Gandharwa Sangeet Shodh Sansthan, Pannalal Rana paid his sincere thanks to all the audience.
