Belatrix Software Hosts LATAM Developer Training Manager & Google Expert, Nicolas Bortolotti

June 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Speaking, on June 8, to a packed room of some of Mendoza’s brightest software developers, Google expert, and Developer Relations Training Manager for Latin America, Nicolas Bortolotti, rolled out Google’s vision for the website of the future.  Google believes this will influence the way developers approach and build websites going forward.  

The event which occurred at Belatrix’s chic, new downtown Mendoza offices was co-sponsored by The Social Media Institute as part of their effort to spotlight Mendoza’s growing software development community.  Mendoza is fast becoming a South America outsourcing (http://www.belatrixsf.com/index.php/why-argentina) hotspot.  The region offers significant Nearshore software development advantage, including being within one hour of the USA’s east coast’s timezone.  This enables Belatrix’s clients, for example, to achieve the real-time collaboration and communication benefits, especially important in Agile software product development.

Marina, one of Belatrix’s software engineers, said that “the conference gave [her] lots of information on  Cloud computing and other new methodologies, including advanced technologies for developing for mobile.”   Danilo, another Belatrix’s software engineer, expressed that he “could sense Nicolás’ passion for what he does!  It’s really great to have him share his knowledge.”

Immediately after Bortolotti’s presentation, Google put out a developer sprint challenge.  Engineers were invited to take part in a “live coding” session.  Not only was it fun, but it was a great way to help the engineers apply the tools Google shared at the event.
