Day Trip packages for 2014 Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark, Philippines

Jan. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- During previous Hot Air Balloon festivals in Clark, visitors have to fend for themselves regarding transportation, hotel accommodation, admission tickets and meals.  This has always been a source of bitter complaints with visitors attending the Clark Hot Air Balloon Fiesta each year in February.  

Things have improved drastically in the 2014 Clark Hot Air Balloon Fiesta as establishments under Yats International Leisure Philippines, are rising to the occasion by offering visitor-friendly packages and meals services that are designed to make it easy and enjoyable for Manila residents and visiting tourists to attend the 2012 Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark.



HOT AIR BALLOON SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE ROUND-TRIP MANILA

This year a special Hot Air Balloon bus service is available.   Participants board the special bus in a designated pickup location in Manila and travel to Clark in comfort, resting up during the 90-minute journey arriving refreshed and ready to enjoy the festivities of the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark.

Tickets to this special Hot Air Balloon Fiesta bus service must be purchased in advance.   Round-trip ticket price is p750 inclusive of an admission ticket to attend the 19th Philippines Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark (no one-way ticket available).   Only a small number of seats are available and once tickets are sold out, no more will be made available.  


Hot Air Balloon V I P Parking

To get to the Clark Hot Air Balloon Site, some visitors prefer to drive because the 70 minute journey from Manila to Pampanga via North Luzon Expressway, or NLEX, connecting briefly to Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway or “SCTex”.  Except for Sunday 12th February, traffic going into Clark is not expected to be too congested. It is usually during Hot Air Balloon Fiesta closing that departing traffic can clog up the roads of Clark.  

For those who drive to the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark, Pampanga, they are well advised to make plans for parking.  The limited parking facilities at the Hot Air Balloon Festival site fill up very quickly.  Although parking is available in many places throughout the city of Clark, these are not very near to the Hot Air Balloon fiesta site so visitors who drive and park in Clark should expect a 15 to 30-minute walk from and back to the place that they parked their cars.

Specially added in 2012 to the Clark Hot Air Balloon Festival is VIP parking made available by Clark Wine Center, a property of Yats International.  Located near to the Clark Hot Air Balloon Festival, the parking facilities of this famous wine shop in Pampanga are sought after by travelers.  Only 100 slots are available in this VIP Hot Air Balloon parking lot in Clark Wine Center, hardly enough to accommodate the hundreds of vehicles that will not be able to find parking in the hot air balloon fiesta public parking area.

Price is php1,300/person (php1,100 for children of 12 and below) and this entitles the holder to:

•   Admission ticket to the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta
•   Round-trip bus transfer from Manila
•   Lunch at the Clark Wine Center near the Hot Air Balloon site



HOT AIR BALLOON BREAKFAST AT DAWN

Breakfast is served at the Roof deck lawn garden of Clark Wine Center on Saturday & Sunday at 5am.  Hot air balloons are scheduled to take off at 5:30am and return at around 7am.   This seems to be a comfortable and convenient way to observe and take pictures of the balloons taking off at dawn.   Just how close the balloon will fly over the Clark Wine Center depends largely on prevailing wind directions.  Last year, breakfast guests took many good pictures of the hot air balloons flying overhead not so far away.


Price is php 650 per person (php 350 for children aged 12 and below).



AFTERNOON HOT AIR BALLOON FLIGHT DINNER AT CLARK WINE CENTER

Visitors from Manila are particular happy with this year’s addition of the two afternoon flights of the Hot Air Balloons because most people find it difficult to arrive on time from Clark for the early morning flights at 5:30am.  Now visitors can catch the special Hot Air Balloon Shuttle service which leaves Manila at 7am, enjoy a full day of activities, have lunch and dinner at nearby Clark Wine Center and catch the afternoon flights of the hot air balloon before boarding the shuttle at 7:30pm going back to Manila.

Dinner will be served at the wine tasting room (second floor indoor) and the alfresco roof deck lawn of the Clark Wine Center.  Open for dinner service at 5pm and lasting through 8pm, this special dinner not only enables guests to watch the balloons flying above while enjoying a nice meal in comfort.  It also enables visitors tired from a long day of excitement at the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark to enjoy a good meal before boarding the shuttle bus going back to Manila.

Ticket price is php650 for adults and php250 for children aged 12 and under.

Most of the complaints heard from previous Hot Air Balloon Festivals in Clark Philippines had something to do with bad quality of food and unacceptable facilities to consume the meals.  This year, visitors might consider taking time off to enjoy a good meal at these fine restaurants, pubs and cafes in Clark, Pampanga:

Smart tourists would probably choose to avoid the weekend and check in on Wednesday or Thursday instead.  Although the programs for those two days may not sound as exciting as that on the grand finale Sunday or the penultimate Saturday lead-up, many can probably approach the balloons and the crew with less obstacles on Thursday and Friday.   Rooms may still be available but many tourists and local residents travelling north from Manila are booking them fast.
