In addition to MI, Star also secured long time traditional hip/hop crooner, Zaaki Adzee to thrill the crowd at the event. The torch light wielding artiste did not disappoint the crowd. Upcoming acts and local talents were also afforded the opportunity of flaunting their talent on stage. The event also featured dance, comedy, music, raffle draws, among other fascinating sessions. Individuals went home with several prizes including motorcycles, KVA generators, flat screen TV sets, deep freezers, live cow, live turkeys, bags of rice, gallons of vegetable oil, and other branded consolation prizes among others.
Speaking at the event, the Brand Manager – Star, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Omotunde Adenusi, described the event as a success. He added that the event was conceived to bond, not only with the people of Gboko but also consumers from other parts of the State. “Star lager beer takes its consumers very seriously whether they are in the rural or in the urban areas. This is just one of the ways in which Star seeks to connect with the rural people not only of Gboko but the entire part of Benue State because we had people coming in from other parts of the state,” he said. He further assured that Star would continue to identify and celebrate the heritage of the Nigerian people wherever they are. Adenusi added: “As Africans, our language, culture, dance and other traditional identities, which set us apart from other nations, should be celebrated.”
