Dec. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- The spread of new technology, a growing emphasis on sustainability and green consciousness and increasing demand from the emerging economies of the world are expected to shape the future market for office services and supplies in the imminent future.

The fast-growing economies of the Middle East are expected to prove increasingly attractive to manufacturers and suppliers of office supplies and services as they grow in stature and extent as business and finance centres.

Growing interest in the sector is expected to impact the upcoming Paperworld Middle East 2012 favourably, feels organiser Epoc Messe Frankfurt.

“The countries of the Middle East region are growing increasingly attractive as business destinations.  The size of their expanding economies is helping to drive rapid demand for office supplies and services, meaning that events such as Paperworld Middle East have an increasingly important role to play in shaping and influencing the market,” said Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer of Epoc Messe Frankfurt.

“Representing the entire range of office and stationery products and services, Paperworld Middle East has its finger on the pulse of the market and provides our partners with an ideal business sourcing and networking platform with considerable reach around the region,” he added.

With recent market research indicating that the global market for office products and services is expected to be worth US$221.6 billion by 2015, manufacturers and suppliers are increasingly eyeing new and emerging markets in which to expand their footprint*.

Growing trends towards the use of sustainable products and green technologies are also playing considerable roles in shaping the market. The need for security and the increasing incorporation of information technology in organising office workflow and functions has also impacted the global market.

Beate Oblau of Lamy, Launch Partners of Paperworld Middle East, said: “The exhibition brings the global expertise of the Paperworld brand to the Middle East region. For us it is an ideal event to gain a better understanding of the marketplace here. We will use the event as a platform for showcasing our wide range of writing instruments and to help reinforce our presence in this regional marketplace.”

“Each market has its own unique preferences. Our objective of participating in Paperworld Middle East is to strengthen and expand our presence in a promising region for our wide range of office products,” said Jürgen Schniedermann, VP Export Sales of Durable, travelling regularly in this region since 1977. “After observing the success of the launch edition we felt the time was right for us to participate and use this highly professional fair to present all our new products to competent buyers from Middle East and Africa,” he added.

Paperworld Middle East, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from March 6th to 8th, 2012 will feature leading international and local manufacturers and suppliers of office and paper products who are looking to make inroads into the Middle East. The event features a range of companies showcasing office supplies, school articles, gift articles, wrapping material, gift cards and calendars as well as paper and film. Running parallel to the exhibition is Remanexpo Middle East, a platform for the reprocessing of printer materials.
