Dec. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- The Indian Jeweller (Magazine) hosted a one of a kind glittering award ceremony the “MJGF IJ Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards 2011” night on Saturday, 10th December 2011 at the ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton, Mumbai. Manufacturers from across the country had submitted their designs under various categories and price points for review and selection.
The competition required manufacturers to submit their best designs across 33 product categories. The winning pieces from over 300 entries were reviewed and chosen from over 18,000 votes received from retailers across India, in favor of their favorite designs. This activity alone made the awards a Jeweller’s Choice awards.
Renowned Jewellery Designers like Varuna D Jani, Amisha Khanna, Akbar Khan participated at the event and glittered even in more grandeur & splendour with their sizzling creations complimenting the awards night on the ramp! Industry influencers & industrial leaders, who attended the function, complimented the event by appreciating & encourage the new talent.
Prominent amongst the winners were TBZ who won awards in the Best Bridal ensemble, Best Necklace & Kunda Meena categories above 5 Lac; BR Designs won awards for their Diamond, Emerald and Stone jewellery concepts above 5 Lac; Kiah Lifestyle & Farah Khan Fine Jewellery  won awards in Best Price Point under INR 50000 and Fashion Contemporary under INR 50000 categories, respectively.

The awards night brought forth a wonderful opportunity for manufacturers and designers of India, to showcase their talent, creativity and products through a unique platform, which was accessible from any part of the country and created especially for them. A vibrant fashion show with the best of the gold and diamond jewellery was showcased by professional models.
