Home owners like the idea of glass tiles because they are very strong, durable and versatile tiles that once installed will last the test of time and maintain their appearance. Home owners very often mistakenly believe that glass tiles are fragile and for the most part that may be true, glass tiles can be fragile and break easily when they are being installed and this is due to the glass breaking easily through the cutting process but once they have been installed, they are very strong and incredibly beautiful.

Glass tiles have a very low absorbency rate which means they will not absorb water much at all, making them ideal for wet and moist areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. Home owners should take the time to look at the different options, although glass tiles can be costly, there are some great deals out there that offer cheap glass tiles because of end of range sales and limited stock. There are many cheap glass tiles that are no longer being manufactured, these tend to be cheaper and give the home owner chance to use glass tiles in their decor for either kitchens or bathrooms.
