Furnace Mineral Products, continues its quest to deliver emerging technology for industrial applications to protect critical assets from erosion in high temperature service. The company announced today the launch of CeramaClad, a polymer ceramic composite coating system for high temperature erosion protection.

The advanced chemistry is a two component format including an aliphatic curing agent and a modified epoxy resin, incorporating a proprietary blend of metallic and ceramic powders designed to deliver exceptional reinforcement and wear characteristics. CeramaClad offers unprecedented wear resistance characteristics in service temperatures up to 500 oF.

The CeramaClad technology provides an economical solution to metal replacement and may be used as a sacrificial wear coating to increase the life expectancy of critical industrial components. As a repair material CeramaClad may be used to repair pitting, sliding wear and areas where significant material loss has occurred. The product’s simple application format makes it an ideal substitute to rubber lining, ceramic tile or weld overlay in applications where fast turn around and high erosion resistance is paramount.
