With virtual teams on the rise, how can managers ensure that their team members work productively – without the benefit of face-to-face interaction?  Finally, someone has written a thoughtful, practical guide to help you find your way in the virtual world.
A Manager’s Guide to Virtual Teams is the result of the many years the author, Yael Zofi, spent coaching global teams, as well as over 150 extensive interviews she conducted with virtual managers and members.

In this book Zofi shares trends and conclusions about effective virtual teams with a special focus on cross cultural communications.   She explores what it takes to maintain a strong human connection, without which teams don’t reach their full potential, and clearly lays out the building blocks to success:
•   Trust and Accountability. Ten tips for creating trust within and across virtual teams
•   Communication. The particular challenges of the virtual world, especially in cross-cultural collaborations
•   Conflict Management. Examples, case scenarios, and resolution strategies
•   Deliverables. How virtual teams can get their work “out the door” faster and better

A Manager’s Guide to Virtual Teams also features the author’s proprietary Wheel of Trust model, and sure fire techniques that are essential to successful team setup or to refresh an existing virtual team. Filled with in-depth stories, self-study exercises, case studies and practical tested advice, this book can help any organization realize the promise of professionals working closely together—even if they’ve never met.
Specifically written with today’s busy manager in mind, A Manager’s Guide to Virtual Teams is what EVERY manager should know about virtual teams.
