June 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Orlando, Fla., June 16, 2011 -- Carousel Industries, a leader in data networking and converged communications, is hosting ongoing demonstrations that illustrate how enterprises and organizations can take advantage of unified communications and SIP technology to create seamless, A/V capable networks. The demonstrations will occur throughout the duration of InfoComm at Carousel's booth (1483) and feature the latest product offerings from Avaya, Polycom, LifeSize and other manufacturers.

Carousel, an Avaya Business Partner Platinum, Polycom UC certified partner, LifeSize Platinum partner and Cisco ATP partner, designs and implements unified communications solutions for SMB and enterprise customers nationwide. By taking advantage of Carousel's integration expertise and comprehensive product offering, users can leverage the advanced features, cost savings and advanced visual communications capabilities that only unified communications solutions can offer -- no matter what equipment comprises their legacy network.

Following is a description of each of the three demos that will be available to InfoComm attendees, as well as a walkthrough of the "core" station:

   Station 1:
Demonstration of how the Avaya Flareā„¢ Experience, a desktop collaboration tool with UC and video capabilities, interacts with end points attached to Avaya and Polycom network environments. Various laptop computers will be running desktop video enabled UC applications from Polycom and Avaya using both SIP and H323 protocols.

   Station 2:
Demonstration of how an Avaya SIP video conferencing room-based endpoint becomes an extension off the platform and can seamlessly dial in to any other endpoint in the network environment. This will show how the connection serves as an interface between the Polycom UC Intelligent Core, Avaya Aura, desktop systems and room systems.

   Station 3:
This station will be similar to station 2, but will utilize a Polycom HDX 8000 system. This demonstration will provide another example of a room system in an A/V environment that can seamless interact with all other endpoints in the network environment.

   "Core" station
The core station highlights the Polycom and Avaya infrastructure components that make this interoperability possible. Products include the Polycom RMX, Avaya Media Gateway, Polycom CMA 5000 and the Avaya Session Manager core platform.
