LG IT Academy, a community initiative by LG Electronics - kicks off in Jeddah!

May 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Jeddah, May 10, 2010 – LG Electronics, global leader in IT technology on Sunday launched the LG IT Academy as a part of its CSR plan where the studies are free for all Saudi women. The launch ceremony was held at the LG IT academy in presence of Korean Consular General His Excellency Mr. Shin Yong Gi, the Secretary General of JCCI Mr. Adnan Mandoura, Dr. Aisha Natto, JCCI Board Member, and the other honourable members of JCCI. Joining forces with Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, LG Electronics KSA brought together LG Academy for Saudi women for the first time. The IT Academy will operate in the same building as LG cooking Academy.

Under this unique initiative, LG will provide Saudi women students with certified IT Education. The certification has been approved by Jeddah chamber of commerce. To bridge the gap between academic and Saudi women in KSA, LG IT Academy provides key practical and theoretical skills through a structured learning program. After completion of the training and required exams it would enable students jobs within the IT industry.

LG Electronics is very active in terms of activities and CSR initiatives among Saudi women, LG cooking Academy that offers women a valuable opportunity to learn about various cooking styles and methods, Nutrition, and Health. LG IT Academy’s objective is also based on the same ground which will provide free IT certification for Saudi women.
To bridge the gap between IT academic education with regard to Saudi women and hand on experience, LG IT Academy delivers key practical and theoretical skills through a structured learning program that will enable the students to acquire required skills.

LG IT Academy offers a multitude of technical courses that are required for IT Industry today. These certifications will provide students with the skills to solidify their future tomorrow.
