Friendship Village Tempe Names New Executive Director

March 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Friendship Village Tempe announces Cole Marvin as its new executive director of the leading life care community in the East Valley, home to more than 900 seniors. Marvin is replacing Darrell Jensen, who recently retired after serving 20 years at the community.

Marvin joined Friendship Village Tempe in 2007 and has served four years as the community’s administrator. In his new position, he is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the 50-acre campus.

Our staff provides some of the best service and hospitality in the Phoenix area,” said Marvin. “In my new role, I want to continue to evolve the community, offering an attractive lifestyle to seniors for years to come.”

Prior to joining the Friendship Village Tempe team, Marvin spent nearly 10 years as an administrator for multiple retirement communities in Honolulu and Kaneohe, Hawaii. Marvin currently serves as a board member for the Arizona Association of Homes and Services for the Aging in Tempe.

He received a bachelor of science degree in long-term healthcare administration from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii.
