Feb. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- This modern 0.75 MWp complex was constructed, put into operation and successfully commissioned on a brownfield – the site of a former municipal waste dump. This is a site that due to its nature could not have been used for agricultural purposes or housing. The PVP Dubno thereby clearly hampers the set and wrong notion that photovoltaic power plants only take up agricultural soil and space for agricultural production.

This area of 1.7 hectares could not even theoretically be used for any other purpose right from the start of the PVP development. The idea of housing development or a complete rejuvenation of the contaminated soil is not possible in the short range horizon. Despite this fact the site still is suitable for the development of something that brings a positive effect and thus this here is an ideal use of spoilt earth. Economic and ecologic potential of this site is again rejuvenated and used ideally.
