Follow on Google News | BNI Denmark migrates to Microsoft Exchange OnlineThe emplyees of BNI Denmark wanted email efficiency and flexibility when fom virtually-anywhere and migrated to Microsoft Exchange Online.
By: Abusiness ApS The situation Being a regional director of BNI involves a lot of traveling every week, visiting chapters and members around the country. However email is an important tool communicating with members, visitors and staff. BNI was coming from a traditional POP3 e-mail solution hosted by their webhosting partner Abusiness. To increase efficiency and flexibility, BNI wanted an e-mail solution which could be integrated with the regional directors own laptops, their HTC and iPhone smartphones and iPads. Choosing Microsoft Exchange Online BNI engaged Abusiness – their natural webhosting partner – explaining their needs, and after a brief analysis BNI decided to go with Microsoft’s Exchange Online under the Business Productivity Online Standard Suite (BPOS), and choosing Abusiness as their Microsoft Online Partner. Microsoft Exchange Online is designed to make e-mail communication effective, with comprehensive security which provides automatic virus protection and spam filtering. Because Exchange Online run in a Microsoft-managed data center rather than on BNIs premises, the IT management is zero to none. “This is a huge advantage for small business who doesn’t have the high technical expertise it takes to manage mail and messaging services,” says Lars Skjoldby, Abusiness. Abusiness has been running their own Hosted Exchange servers for three years, but has decided to migrate all customers to Microsoft Exchange Online instead. “We can’t compete with the price, storage, spam filtering and geo-redundancy Microsoft is offering”, says Lars Skjoldby, Abusiness. “However we have gained years of experience migrating small businesses to Hosted Exchange solutions – and that experience is in demanded, when business need a Microsoft Online Partner.”. For BNI Denmark, Abusiness did the complete migration from the POP3 solution to Microsoft Exchange Online, logging on each employees computer by remote session. The BNI employees are now using Abusiness as their external support team, when they are having questions or need help with the setup.
