Leading manufacturer launches branded white cement

Oct. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- This September, Aalborg Portland, the world’s largest manufacturer of white Portland cement, announced that its Aalborg White cement is now available in 25 kg bags throughout Jewson’s chain of 500 builders merchants across the UK.  

Developed and produced in Denmark, high-quality Aalborg White is one of the most uniform and consistent cement products in the world.  The bagged white cement has been on the British market since 1985, but is now being re-introduced under its original name.

Through the launch of Aalborg White, Aalborg Portland is hoping to increase awareness in the UK of the significant differences in quality and quality consistency when it comes to white cement.

“We are looking forward to marketing the Aalborg White brand in the UK, says Aalborg Portland country manager, Henrik Hougaard. “We hope, of course, that our existing UK customers, who have been satisfied with our white cement for several years now, will continue to choose Aalborg White.”  

Aalborg White has over one hundred years of experience as a producer of white cement and has earned a world-wide reputation for the unsurpassed quality of its product. The cement is comprised of pure limestone, a mineral that is abundant in Northern Denmark, and is manufactured using Aalborg Portland’s advanced technology.

Aalborg White cement combines the properties of high reflection, high strength, low alkali content, and high sulphate resistance. At the same time, modern manufacturing technology ensures that the environment, as well as the health and safety of employees and inhabitants in surrounding societies, is protected.
