Aug. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Tutors’ Alliance is pleased to announce the relaunch of its annual membership services. After extensive consultation with tutors, Tutors’ Alliance will now provide two types of membership tailored to private tutors’ needs.

Established in July 2009, Tutors’ Alliance is the home of the innovative Tutor Check, a report which tutors show pupils to demonstrate their qualifications, references and credentials. All Tutors’ Alliance members have Enhanced Disclosures and have been subjected to a stringent application process. Tutors’ Alliance was set up by private tutor, Valerie Kemp, to improve safety and standards within the private tuition industry. Free information and advice, is available for pupils and parents as well as Tutors’ Alliance Connect, a service which puts pupils in touch with tutors. Tutors’ Alliance membership is open to all self-employed private tutors, whatever their subject. Tutors’ Alliance also offers tailored membership services for agencies, adapted to the organisations’ own needs.

Of the new services, Tutors’ Alliance Managing Director, Valerie Kemp said:
“I feel that the new, expanded range of membership options available to private tutors will have a significant impact on the private tuition industry. For a long time, tutors and agencies have been crying out for an organisation such as Tutors’ Alliance. As a languages tutor myself, I struggled to find anyone who was able to give me business advice specific to the private tuition sector and it was almost impossible to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure while self-employed. I was mindful of these difficulties and they have remained at the core of my motivation in running Tutors’ Alliance. With these new services, Tutors’ Alliance is allowing tutors to become more professional in their outlook and their own businesses. Providing private tuition is such an important job that pupils and parents need to know they can trust their tutor. Having Tutors’ Alliance membership is the first step in establishing that trust for tutors.”
