Aug. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Mysilversands threw a fabulous party on the patio at Silver Sands Jamaica on Friday, August 6, 2010, to celebrate the country's 48th year of Independence.

Brisk trade winds provided a soothing backdrop to the venue which was decorated in black, green and gold - the colours of the Jamaican flag. Proprietors from the Jacob Taylor Beach at Silver Sands were invited to display their art and crafts and to demonstrate their skills.

DJ Tyrone played a bopping assortment of music from the various eras while guests and home owners sampled the wide selection of Jamaican pastries and snacks courtesy of Mysilversands. The Grill served many traditional dishes like ackee and salt fish, roast breadfruit, jerk pork and jerk chicken.

The atmosphere was warm, festive and friendly, and the guests and home owners of Silver Sands Jamaica had a great day.

Commenting on the celebrations, Prem Chadeesingh, Director, Mysilversands, said: “The purpose of the celebrations and party is to positively portray Jamaica and Jamaican culture and bring the people of the world together, for freedom is something that is valued by everyone above everything in the world”.
