One Night To “Laugh It Off” -

June 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Young Anguillian comedians Danny Bryan, (Old man Numpsy), and Samantha Cate (Lola, the Spanish lady) are putting together a comedy show in Anguilla, featuring Fernando Clark and Pa Ben from Saint Martin, and Calypso Reggie from Saint Kitts. This stress bursting event will take place on Saturday 26 June 2010 at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Center at 8:00 pm.

Danny  Bryan , who has been doing  stand up comedy and been MC for many shows over the past ten  years has joined with Samantha Cate for the last two years and brainstormed a one hour comedy program aired on Rainbow FM 93.3 called “Laugh It Off“.  Since it’s their first show they are keeping it more local by getting  Anguillians and three guest comedians  two from Saint martin and one from Saint Kitts and the puppets, Anguilla's hit sensations “Lil Ricky”, Apple Bottom Cali and company to make up a fun family evening.

“Numpsy always makes me laugh and I knew we would be a good comedy team, after all we are family” Samantha Cate said jokingly.  “We always wanted to dedicate some part of our lives to making people laugh, this is our chance” they said with passion.

A portion of the proceeds from the show will go towards the Island Harbor Primary School to aid in buying books for their outdated library and to the Miriam Gumbs Senior Citizen home to care for the elderly.  The pair also sees this show as a way to laugh about the stresses of everyday life and the recession period, and believe that Anguillians can use a dose of the best medicine, Laughter!
