Train a puppy to have a proper potty is sometime miserable for us who do not know the right way to train our puppy.

At this occasion, Chandra Ekajaya wants to give tips on how to potty train your puppy easily. Basically, Dogs, by their nature have clean behavior. They do not like to live, eat and have a potty on a same place. Further, dogs are smart animals. They can be trained to do something, especially potty.

A young puppy, usually learns how to live and behave from surroundings. If there is another dog at your house, the puppy will learn from it. Now the problem is how if the puppy is your first pet? How the puppy will learn from? The answer is you! The puppy will learn from you. So you must train the puppy well.

A puppy, especially the one that live inside, tends to have a potty inside our house. By nature, the puppy will search for the most comfortable location where to have a potty. When it gets a potty on a spot inside your house, do not scold or scream to it. It just makes the puppy afraid of you. The puppy does not know its mistake because it cannot understand your language.

The best way is to "trick" the puppy. When the puppy has a potty in a spot, it usually tends to have a potty again there. So the trick is you can get thick paper on that spot, so the puppy will have a potty there.

When it has a potty there again, means on the thick paper, praise your puppy. Give reward to the puppy. It makes the puppy feels happy and knows that have a potty on a thick paper is a good job.

The next thing we do is move the thick paper every day inch by inch to our desired location of our puppy to have potty. Do not forget to praise and give reward to your puppy every time it has potty on the thick paper. So every day, our puppy is going closer to our desired location. After we have reached the location, remain the thick paper for several days. After several days, you can remove the thick paper forever, and your puppy will be trained to have a potty on that location.
