WALKER JACKSON® MORTGAGE CORPORATION NAMES THOMAS TEEPLE PRESIDENT

CHANTILLY, Va., April 2, 2010--   Jeffrey S. Detwiler, president and chief operating officer of The Long & Foster® Companies announced today the appointment of Thomas Teeple as president of the Walker Jackson Mortgage Corporation.  Walker Jackson is part of The Long & Foster® Companies, which also includes Long & Foster® Real Estate, Inc., the largest independently owned residential real estate company in the United States; Prosperity Mortgage® Company; Long & Foster Insurance Agency, Inc.; and Long & Foster Settlement Services.  

Teeple brings more than twenty years of management experience in financial services, mortgage banking, and managed infrastructure companies.

Most recently, Teeple was with Bank of America Institutional Mortgage Services where he and his team managed correspondent lending, warehouse lending, and closing services relationships with large commercial banks and mortgage originators.  Teeple held a similar role at Countrywide Financial prior to its acquisition by Bank of America.

Teeple’s background includes more than ten years with IBM, where he held executive positions with IBM Global Services managing various business units responsible for affiliated business arrangements, joint ventures and large scale outsourcing relationships with global financial services companies.   He also led the North American Global Professional Services Group for NTT Communications which provided managed infrastructure solutions including managed facilities, technology, communications and operations for global financial services firms in North America, Asia and Europe.

Teeple holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and an Economics Degree from Princeton University.  He is married and will reside in Northern Virginia.
