Playing Rock Guitar
A guitarist had an idea to help other struggling guitarists to learn to play rock guitar.
In November 2009

was purchased and Playing Rock Guitar Lessons was founded by Steve Henson.
“I found it hard to progress with my own guitar playing until the last year or so. I understand the obstacles that other guitarist faced and I wanted to help other people progress like I did,” said founding guitarist Steve.
Initial concepts and site design were done and the website was up and running by December 2009.
During 2010 material, posts, guitar lessons, guitar videos, tab lessons were added and the site is now officially launching. The site has already had quite a few visitors and generated quite a presence around the Internet in its two months online.
The aim is to specialise in Rock music and cover the holes left by other courses and guitar websites.
"A big part of rock is the guitar sound as well as the guitar technique. I found that there was very little information out there anywhere on these basics. The first part of the site is dedicated to guitar lessons on getting the right equipment for rock and the right set up," said Steve.
On Playing Rock Guitar Lessons at www.PlayingRockGuitar.com there is advice on picking the right rock guitar, amps, effect pedals and other accessories. This is followed up with the correct guitar, amp and effect set up to get a rock sound, which pickups to use and tablature examples to test the sounds. There is even an acoustic guitar lesson.
