CALGARY – Healthy Hands, a student-run business formed under Junior Achievement’
The kit, designed to educate and teach proper hand washing, includes a special gel which allows users to actually see how well they wash their hands. The gel glows under UV light; by applying it before washing, a person can afterwards check with the light to see the areas they have missed. In addition to gel and a UV light, each Healthy Hands Kit also includes hand sanitizer, tissues, hand lotion, scented soap, and an instruction booklet.
The educational nature of the kit and its particular appeal to children make the kit a great tool for the CBE to use to promote hand washing, particularly amongst the younger grades.
