GLOBAL MARKETS-Dollar reaps gains on eurozone woe, stocks slide

SACRAMENTO, Calif. Feb. 6, 2010 –President at Capital Financial Advisory Services, Keith Springer comments on the struggles in the United States labor markets to Reuter’s reporter.

Data suggests that the "progress in the labor markets will be painfully slow at best in 2010," said Springer regarding the market outlook after the fall in world stocks following recently released data.

Reuters reports, “First time jobless claims in the United States rose by 8,000 last week to 480,000, bucking the median forecast for a drop of 10,000. The weekly number is now the highest since mid-November and an ominous sign to a positive nine-month trend.”

Springer continues, "Businesses have not shown any inclination to begin hiring to any large extent."Jobless claims in the United States are on the rise in spite of the decrease that was originally projected. Businesses are slow in attempts to increase jobs.
