An eco-friendly method of defending homes, businesses and property from flood waters that can be ready to use in minutes – available exclusively from http://www.instantsandbags.com

With more properties and businesses being affected with flooding each year, there has been a growing demand for flood defence systems. But traditional flood defence measures like sandbags have a detrimental effect on the environment. And with the risk of flooding expectied to increase, traditional sandbags could be making the situation worse.
Instant Sandbags are a more eco friendly solution, require no sand, can inflate in minutes and be used just like traditional sandbags.

Traditional sand-filled sandbags are still the most widely used measure to defend properties from flooding. But each sandbag has to be filled with 20kg of sand. This is often dredged, which can alter landscapes and can actually increase the risk of flooding for future generations.  In the UK this sand is dredged from the Bristol Channel causing untold damage to the water table and river - and then this virgin resource is disposed of in landfill when finished with!

Sand is also expensive and cumbersome to transport. Large amounts of CO2 are generated each time flooding hits as sand is transported to the affected areas. A typical Van can only move 75 Traditional Sandbags but can transport over three thousand Instant Sandbags. That’s 43 vans loaded with traditional sandbags for every one van of Instant Sandbags – so traditional sandbags will create an additional three tonnes less in CO2.

Traditional sandbags also have to be disposed of after the floodwaters have subsided, and sodden sandbags themselves take years to degrade, causing an environmental nuisance for decades.

However, a far m0re environmentally friendly method of protecting property, buildings, homes and businesses from flooding and flood water is available from: http://www.instantsandbags.com

Instant Sandbags require no sand - doing away with the need for transporting and dredging sand so there is less damage to the environment or increased CO2!
Instant Sandbags are 98% lighter to move than traditional sandbags - with 10 Traditional Sandbags weighing the same as 440 Instant Sandbags.

Instant Sandbags fill with just water, but can be used exactly the same way as traditional sandbags, and when the flooding subsides, the water in Instant Sandbags returns to the environment gradually and naturally over time.

They can also be stored flat - and unlike traditional sandbags that require two people to fill - Instant Sandbags inflate themselves in water, in just a few minutes – no need to prepare sandbags days in advance! And as they require 93% less space for storage, they can be stored almost anywhere!

And what’s more, Instant Sandbags are biodegradable and will not linger in land fills for years to come.

Instant Sandbags provide all the protection without any of the hassle and damage to the environment of traditional sandbags and are available exclusively at: http://www.instantsandbags.com/instant-sandbags/cat_2.html
