The emergence of the social network websites has many of us hooked and we spend a good amount of time on them and they hold so many details about our personal life with updates and our thoughts as the day goes on. Through the social networking site Twitter, one man has managed to get himself arrested and banned from Robin Hood Airport in Doncaster for life. Unlucky or just plain stupid, Paul Chambers from Doncaster has successfully managed to get himself arrested, interrogated under the terrorism act, have his laptop, iPhone and home computer confiscated and be suspended from his job, all in one day. Chambers was due to fly to Ireland from Doncaster on the 15th January, but bad weather was threatening cancellation of many flights as the snow reeked havoc over the UK. On his Twitter page he wrote about how he would blow the airport up if his flight was cancelled. Officials took a dim view of the statement and police were quickly called in to raid the man’s house and arrest Chambers on charges under the terrorism act. He said the police explained when they came to his door about the statement that was on Twitter. The threat was completely a joke according to the arrested man and there was no ill intensions intended. He has been bailed until the 11th February and banned from the airport for life.
