Mangal Upasana is Beneficial for security, Mangalik, Mangal dosha, insecurity, stress,  marriage problems. Lord Mangal is also known as Planet Mangal or Planet mars. (Mars) also known as Kuja and angaraka. Astrologically Mars is seen as a cruel planet. A person under the effect of this planet has a tendency to suffer through accidents, robbery, attack, or imprisonment, crime.

This planet (Mars) is usually detrimental and is often worshipped so that one can become free of its detrimental effects. One can wear red to help ward off the effects of this planet. If a leader starts a war on this day, he will be victorious. However, one should not start an auspicious activity on this day. Performing Mangal Puja can reduce the troubles and hurdles caused due to malefic position of MARS. Its malefic position may result in the cruelness and anger to the native.
As based on the horoscope the malefic or benefic effect of the planet Mars ( Mangal) is determined in relation to a person astrologically and not merely on the basis of exaltation or debilitation because under certain conditions even a debilitated Mars ( Mangal) can give beneficial effects whereas based on its position and degrees in the horoscope even an exalted Mars ( Mangal)can sometimes give malefic effects. The minute position as per degrees of the planet of Mars ( Mangal) is also to be taken into consideration before arriving at any conclusion as per our Astro Research.

As we have explained in our astrology research article “ What is Mantra” Mantras can be classified under two broad categories: -
1. Tantrik Mantras ( Beeja Mantras)
2. Vedic Mantras

Therefore, chanting of Tantrik or Vedic Mantra of the concerned planet 1,25,000 times or its half, 62,500 times reduces the malefic effects of that planet. In Panchangas, this number of times for the chanting of mantra for the Mars ( Mangal) is given as 10,000 when by chanting only 10,000 times the Mantra of the Mars ( Mangal) nothing substantial can be achieved and it is 1,25,000 times chanting alone which can give proper results.
