Fitness Duo To Help Women Tackle Their Unwanted Holiday Gift.

Leaside Health and Fitness partners Rachel Hooper and Nadia Chychrun provide Leaside (Toronto) women with in-home personal training, boot camps, pilates and nutrition consulting services.

Dec. 16, 2009 - PRLog -- The holiday season is officially here and for many women that means the next few weeks will be a variation of the following:

Bake cookies with the kids. Attend a craft workshop. Write holiday cards.  Send out holiday cards. Get a tree. Decorate the tree. Wrestle with the string of lights. Hang the lights.  Decorate the house. Send invites for holiday party. Plan the party menu. Go to the mall. Go back to the mall. Go to yet another mall altogether.

Now throw in endless amounts of baked goods, chocolate and rich food, and before you know it, you're tired, disoriented and can’t fit into your jeans.  

Rachel Hooper and Nadia Chychrun believe they can help.

The duo founded Leaside Health & Fitness, an in-home personal training company for women. Rachel and Nadia are both certified personal trainers and Nadia is also a pilates instructor and certified nutritionist. They understand the holiday stresses women face:

"Rachel and I both used to be professional working women and I’ll only speak for myself here, but the holidays used to be anything but", Nadia smiles.

"From rushing home to decorate the house and the tree, to buying the gifts, to wrapping the presents all while eating a cookie, or 10! It was a workout, just not the healthiest", she says.

To help women get back on track after the holidays, Leaside Health &  Fitness has set up Better Body Boot Camps, which are available to all women, starting in January.  

Boot camps are a series of high-energy workouts, which are increasingly popular amongst women because they offer an efficient way to get a lot of exercise in a short amount of time.

"Exercise is proven to beat stress. And a strenuous boot camp style workout is a great way to get more energy", says Rachel.

Leaside Health & Fitness’ Better Body Boot Camps are 1 hour sessions, twice a week for five weeks, starting in January.   The first two sessions from January to March will be indoors, and then the women will take to the outdoors.  While boot camps offer a healthy way to relieve tension, for many the main benefit is clear:

"Boot camps give you a healthy way to kick off a strong New Year, and, of course, to get back into your favourite pair of jeans," Rachel says.
