Call The Cops on Toyota, MySpace, MySpace Records, and Universal Music Group

Toyota, MySpace, and MySpace Records robbed over 18,000 bands at a fair shot in the Rock The Space Contest. And that is not all they are guilty of. Call The Cops may have won the contest, but now it may be time to call the cops on the sponsors.

Oct. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- First, anyone that would purchase products or services from companies such as Toyota, MySpace, MySpace Records, or Universal Music Group should rethink where they are spending their money.  Anyone that would advertise with MySpace, MySpace Records, or Universal Music Group should find other alternatives than to spend money with companies that defraud and cheat consumers and struggling artists.

Toyota, through there recent actions, only provides Americans with several more reasons why they should buy American Products and stop the profiting by foreign companies that are not only causing job losses for all of America.  When a company such as Toyota sets out to defraud American music artists who are struggling to make it in an already tough business by orchestrating contests designed with only one goal in mind, to advertise Toyota, MySpace, and MySpace Records.  Then it is time that Americans stand up and spend their money with American companies, and stop rewarding companies such as Toyota for such outrageous behavior and business practices.

And let’s not forget this is the same Toyota that is currently being sued for ordering their attorney’s to destroying evidence in several lawsuits recently brought against them by Americans who have died as a result of their product failures, lies, and deceptions.  It is not only a disgrace to the auto industry.  It is also a disgrace as it relates to any foreign company such as Toyota that came to America and traded in American jobs to sell those same Americans their products.

Toyota has proven that they will use, cheat, lie to, and defraud Americans on a variety of levels that are just plain unacceptable.  It is suggested that anyone reading this not only pass the word about the activities and conduct of Toyota and MySpace.  But that you not spend another penny on any Toyota Products or Services, MySpace Advertisement, MySpace Recording Artists, or Universal Music Group Artists.  That is until they stop the fraud and deceptive business practices.

And any fan of music should boycott the band Call The Cops for their roll in this fraud that was perpetrated upon the public and other artists alike.  When any band such as Call The Cops, or the other four finalists involved in this scam of a contest use undue influence to win a contest that basically defrauded over 18,000 other bands, as well as the public at large.  Then maybe they should all be arrested and charged by the real cops.

If you entered the Toyota Contest, MySpace Contest, MySpace Records Contest, Rock The Space Contest, or as it is now coming to be know as, “The Fix Was In” contest.  No matter how you look at it Toyota, MySpace, and MySpace Records conspired to defraud over 18,000 of you who entered the Rock The Space Contest.  As it turns out this was an advertising scheme by MySpace, MySpace Records, and Toyota that solicited artists to enter with them knowing full well contestants never had a chance of winning.

Indisputable evidence has been developed over the past couple of months that shows each of the finalists or their representatives had strong business relationships with either MySpace Records or Universal Music Group prior to this contest being advertised.  This evidence clearly connects all five finalists selected with MySpace and/or Universal Music Group.

The contest turned out to be nothing more than an advertising scheme created by MySpace and Toyota to use music artists looking for their big break to advertise Toyota, MySpace, and MySpace Records products and services.  They used the bait of a Recording Contract with MySpace Records to deceive and defraud artists for the sole purpose of obtaining free advertisement for their products and services.

At best it was disgusting act of fraud perpetrated upon artists that entered the contest believing it was a legitimate opportunity for them to succeed at their art.  But the reality was that the five finalists or their representatives all had prior business dealings with MySpace Records or Universal Music Group.

Of course Fox and MySpace attorney Amy Ruskin denies everything and claims that they did nothing wrong.  Ruskin and her bosses, who refuse to identify themselves and hide behind Ruskin, only responded through email inquiries that were filled with self-serving lies and misrepresentations.

But then what more should anyone expect from a company that is owned and operated by News Corp that owns MySpace and MySpace Records.  Or from a company that planned this fraud from the outset just to gain free advertising at the contestant’s expense.

And of course there are the attorneys and various department heads at Toyota that just outright lied when they were confronted with the facts.  On the phone they would state they wanted to address the matter.  But then they refused to follow up or respond as promised.

It seems that when Toyota realized they were caught defrauding artists and using them for the sole purpose of advertising their company.  They just did not have anything else to say.

Then again, would you expect a company like Toyota that is being sued for ordering their attorneys to destroy evidence in other civil cases to admit they were defrauding individuals in a this contest?
