Oct. 23, 2009 - PRLog -- We at the Freedom from Poverty Foundation invite one and all to come and help support their cause on Saturday, November 7th, 2009 from 6:00PM onwards at Le Châteaubriand Reception Hall. Come spend the evening with us and experience the unique culture and exotic cuisine of India and make a big difference. This year our annual dinner will feature entertainment by world-renowned Odissi dancer Ms. Sonia Lopez, and a night of great music from Jiva Productions. There’s an open bar and you’ll enjoy the fine cuisine of India, catered by the Bombay Palace. There will also be a short presentation on this year's achievements and the continuing work on the construction of the hospital in Uttar Pradesh, India.

The Freedom From Poverty Foundation, Inc. (http://ffpf.org) was established in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1993. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the impoverished people of Uttar Pradesh, one of the poorest states in India, by providing access to education and health care to the less fortunate so that they can break out of the cycle of poverty.

Since 1988, we have succeeded in building two schools, with 12,600 graduates so far. In addition, since 1991, our mobile clinics have treated over 135,000 patients. Our current project is to build and maintain a Multi specialty Charitable Hospital in Ayodhya, in the Faizabad District. We aim to achieve our mission through the collaborative efforts of extraordinary people, in North America and India, who are driven by their desire and limitless love to help those in need.

More than ever now, everything and everyone on the planet is linked very closely, via internet, international media and through the environment and world economies. Therefore positive change and evolution on a global scale is something we all must participate in. Please help us continue with our important mission.
