PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 31, 2009 -
Mobile visuals releases three new products for mobile phones, the visual stimulation tool Astral effects and  the C++ screensavers Polar lotus and Digital lotus. The C++ screensavers generate a mystical flow of lotus visuals with ever changing colours and patterns. This has a positive and uplifting effect on the mood. The screensavers can be used for meditation or just to relax and stress down, while watching the shifting patterns. Polar Lotus has a harmonic theme, while Digital lotus has a more hypnotic theme.

Polar lotus and Digital lotus are the first mobile screensavers with all the features of PC screensavers. This means that the settings can be changed, that it is possible to preview them and that the screensavers continuously create new patterns. Almost all other mobile screensavers do not have the ability of creating new patterns, they loop the same sequence over and over.

The PC screensaver features of Polar lotus and Digital lotus are possible because they are programmed in C++. A different type of C++ has to be used for every platform. The current versions of the screensavers use Symbian C++ and target Nokia’s Series 60 3d edition platform. The new devices on this platform, which have the feature pack 1 or 2, support screensavers. Those are the devices which are compatible with Polar lotus and Digital lotus.

Mobile Visuals' CEO Eyvind Almqvist has big plans for the screensaver development.
-This is only the beginning, he says. Right now we are targeting Nokia, but we will soon release Polar lotus and Digital lotus for Blackberry. Then we will target Windows mobile and Iphone. After these screensavers, we will release a collection of 3d screensavers. The customers want new types of screensavers, they are tired of the same old GIF and Flash screensavers.

Astral effects is the first visual stimulation tool for mobiles on the market. It contains a collection of hypnotic visual effects and eye candy. It is possible to change the look and feel of the mobile by changing which visual effect that gets displayed. Astral effects is getting a lot of attention on the mobile software site Getjar.  It has been one of the top 20 most downloaded applications there this summer and has been downloaded over 200000 times. The reason for this large amount of downloads is that the software is made with the Java version MIDP 2.0. Almost all modern mobiles have this Java version, so Astral effects  is compatible with all of these. Mobile visuals’ products will now be distributed to operators around the world through new distribution deals with the new partners Berazy and Arphiola. It is possible to download and try these products on http://www.mobile-visuals.com/
