Bifengxia Panda Base was opened to the public in 2003. It is located in the altitude of from 1100m to 1800m and known as the branch of the China Giant Panda Research and Conservation Centre in Wolong. The base has panda research center, bamboo forest, panda hospital, panda kindergarten, panda mating and breeding center, panda demonstration center, rear service center etc.
The base now has 68 pandas sharing their life in luxurious villas with accompaniments of air-conditioners, toilets, independent water supply systems and sport areas. The pandas will be returned to nature after they have been given relevant training in simulated wild environments
These years, the Bifengxia Panda Base has become one of the most-watched spots in Sichuan Province, China. It attracts crowds of tourists from home and abroad every day.
