Exclusive Garda Lake: discovering hidden corner and historical private properties

July 15, 2009 - PRLog -- The day-trip starts at Garda quay, getting  on a private chartered boat (historical sailing ship or motorboat)  departing for a unique and unforgettable cruise.

First stop is at the beautiful San Vigilio peninsula, hidden corner that has inspired many poets and artists of the past for its unique and peaceful atmosphere.  There guests can wonder the 16th c. Villa Guarienti , its Italian Renassaince garden stretching among olive trees and cypresses and enjoy a refreshing drink at the romantic private harbour of the homonymous 5 star Locanda.

Next stop is  the private island Isola Borghese, that gives its notoriety to the wonderful villa, built in newgothic venetian style, and its unique vegetation, featuring  colourful exotic flowers and rare plants.
The earl, owner of the Villa, welcomes visitors into its prestigious property and  a specialized guide lead them around the most interesting corners.
At the end of the visit, guests are invited underneath a lake-view lodge for a  local products tasting with delightful olives of the lake area,  typical italian ‘bruschette’  and high quality wines.

Last stop Sirmione, world wide renowned as “the pearl of Lake Garda” thanks to its special position- located at the very end of a 4 km long peninsula- and many attractions of  historical interest. Before landing, guests can easily wonder them from the lakeside: the huge roman ruins ‘Grottoes of  Catullo’, Maria Callas’s Villa and the 12th c. scaliger water castle  and its drawing bridge.
Lunch is served in an exclusive design restaurant, on a lake-view terrace reserved to the guests. A guided tour along the peninsula is highly suggested to the guests to discover the hidden corners of the ‘pearl’ and enjoy the landscape.
