Mandala Experience at Mandala Spa Boracay
Everyday, there is news about Mother Earth's rapidly depleting resources and the alarming climate change. However, most people are still preoccupied with their own well-being, not realizing that our health is greatly dependent on the planet's health as well.
As a wellness and spa leader, Mandala Spa answers the global call for environmental action, while indulging guests in their need for wellness. As part of our green solutions, Mandala Spa launches The Treetment Project. Starting June 2009, Mandala Spa will plant a tree for every spa treatment purchased and for every booked room night at Mandala Spa and Villas. Each seedling will be planted and cared for by the Mandala Spa staff in government-designated and protected areas in Boracay and Aklan mainland. Guests and spa goers will have the option to name their tree and will be given updates on its growth and development.
This project is the first of its kind in the industry and we hope that others will follow our example. The Treetment project aims to connect Mandala Spa's guests with nature, one tree at a time. We hope to inspire people to care for the planet as much as they care for themselves. And to get them to act on the earth's wellness as they do on their own.”
This project is done in cooperation with the local government of Malay and Department of Environment and National Resources (DENR).
